And the winner is...
The winner of the SILENT PREDATOR luxury safari for two to South Africa competition is Kelvin Smith, from Port Kennedy, Western Australia.
The staff at Pan Macmillan painstakingly went through every entry (yes, even the multiple entries) and sent me over their top six picks while I was relaxing in Mombasa. It was tough to choose, but there can only be one winner, and Kelvin came out on top. I would like to thank the thousands of people who entered the competition and who came up with such inspiring, funny, imaginative and clever answers. It was great to be reminded how this magnificent continent of Africa gets under the skin of so many people.
Congratulations Kelvin!

Check out this local newspaper story from South Africa for the lowdown on some of Tony's trade secrets.
Here's a review from Army, Navy and Airforce News from Australia by Sgt Dave Morley:
WATCH out Wilbur Smith and Gerald Seymour - this is only Tony Park's fifth novel and he is catching up fast. Park's latest effort has everything you look for in a good book. There are London Special Branch police hunting terrorists, terrorists hunting terrorists, seedy Soho night- clubs, a dodgy cop going missing - and that's before we even get to the wide open spaces of the African veldt. When the location moves to Africa there are more terrorists, luxurious safari lodges, wide open spaces, wild animals and wilder women. Detective Sergeant Tom Furey wakes up to a protection officer's worst nightmare. His charge, British MP Robert Greeves, has been abducted. Risking her job to help Furey find Greeves, South African Police Inspector Sannie van Rensburg takes him into Mozambique in their quest. The author Tony Park divides his time between Sydney and southern Africa - nice work if you can get it - and his wealth of knowledge and experience of Africa's turbulence shows in his writing. You can almost hear the thick Afrikaans accents in the dialogue with the author's subtle addition of slang throughout. Tony Park is an Army Reserve major. He spent six months in Afghanistan as a public affairs officer in 2002.
